Emily Shaw

Emily Shaw is an award-winning podcast executive producer based in San Francisco. She got her start conducting a rogue oral history project in Vietnam in 2013, and went on to study audio documentary and podcasting at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies, Women’s Audio Mission, Writing Pad, UnionDocs, and SoundPath.

Emily honed her interviewing and sound design chops as the host and producer of Cozy Boat, an intimate, music-infused podcast about creativity and passion. Since then, she’s produced original audio content for YouTube, Google, Headspace, The World Peace Foundation, Gimlet, and more. In her free time, she enjoys recording Bay Area sounds and making audio art for her podcast Candy Ears.

In previous lives, Emily scaled Operations as Employee #1 of a mobile app startup, and taught on four continents.
